The application for our 2025 Curatorial Open Call is NOW OPEN

OyG Curatorial Open Call 2025

Ortega y Gasset Projects is pleased to announce our ALL NEW Curatorial Open Call in the Main gallery! OyG co-directors may select multiple curatorial proposals with exhibitions opening between October-December of 2025. Perks of this opportunity include an opening event, public programming (an artist/curator talk or a closing event), promotion on all OyG social media outlets, professional exhibition photography, and a total budget/honorarium of $1000 ($500 exhibition budget + $500 curator honorarium).

PLEASE NOTE: our annual Open Call for two solo shows will still take place later in the spring 2025, with exhibitions opening Winter 2026

Who can apply: OyG invites curatorial proposals from ANYONE, in any discipline, age and geographic location: curators, artists, historians, scientists, philosophers, etc. - We are looking for exciting and innovative ideas! Proposals should include a minimum of 2 artists (which may include or exclude the curator). OyG co-directors will consider a solo presentation if it proposes a multi-decade retrospective of an artist whose work has not yet received ample attention.

**Please note, OyG cannot provide additional funding for travel or shipping beyond the budget and honorarium**

OyG Co-Directors will work with the selected curator leading up to the opening of the exhibitions, if possible. The curator is required to fully participate in the exhibitions' installation and deinstallation. The curator will be selected by a panel of OyG Co-Directors based on the quality of their proposal and demonstrated ability to mount a successful exhibition.

An alternate list of candidates/runners-up will be considered for future programming at the gallery.
